As the month of July comes to a close, we enter into the last full month of summer. Don’t waste your time sitting inside, enjoy the heat with some great events that Central Ohio has to offer. Here are some things going on this month.
When: July 24 - August 4, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Admission: $8-10
It’s that time of year! The Ohio State Fair is in town and ready to roll. This family tradition has been around since 1850 and it gets better every year. There will be a variety of activities and exhibits for people of all ages. Additionally, there will be nearly 200 food vendors - and who can resist that?
When: August 2, 5:00 - 11:00 p.m. and August 3, Noon-11:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
Bring the whole family out to Central Ohio’s largest all-blues festival to promote Ohio and regional blues musicians as well as local artists and craftspeople. There will be activities for children of all ages as well as a beer tent for blues and rib lovers age 21 and over.
When: August 2, 4:00 p.m. - Midnight; August 3, 11:00 a.m. - Midnight; August 4, 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Admission: $8-10
Irish roots aren’t a requirement at the Dublin Irish Festival located in Coffman Park. Bring the whole family out for three days of a wonderful Irish experience. There will be around 535 performers throughout the weekend, so mark your calendars because this on should not be missed!
When: August 16-17, Noon - 10:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
This two-day event features more than 40 of the best Food Trucks in Ohio. There will also be live entertainment, arts and crafts and family fun activities for all ages. Bring the kids out to Columbus Commons to enjoy two days of fun, sweets and treats!
When: August 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Admission: Free
This one is just for the kids! Kidslinked.com and the Ohio Historical Society have partnered for more family fun and an educational driven festival. Families in Central Ohio can make their way to the Ohio History Center/Ohio Village to experience family focused vendors and children’s activities.
