Let It Happen vs. Make It Happen! Intention!

Two Sunday nights ago I was watching the season 25 Oprah Behind the scenes. When Oprah said, "If what you are offering is rejected just let them go." She repeated it a second time and I felt as though she was speaking directly to me! I thought maybe this is a lesson about my sellers and buyers. Next day my loyal assistant of three years told me through tears that she was giving me her two week notice. An opportunity had been offered her that was great for her. Usually I would have been ticked, irritated, pissed off etc... but instead what came to me was ..."let her go" even though I was quite sad.

I vowed to myself that I would have a new assistant (with GREAT skills) hired by Friday, May 13th and starting for training with Debbie on Monday, May 16th! I put a post on my Facebook page, my buyer's agent FB page and a mass email out to the agents in our office. I received 23 resumes, spoke w/11 of 12 that I wanted to speak w/on the phone, met six and five of them would have been excellent, in the price range and hours that I was offering! I hired a magnificent person that is a retired executive secretary for a muckity muck at Huntington, owns her own scrap booking company plus was a seller & a buyer with me last November! I have known Noreen since 1991 when we sang together, I see how organized she is in her business and in her home life, I've admired watching this gal accomplish the goals she set and I am so very happy it's all worked out this way but two weeks ago I would not have answered the same at least on Monday!!

I am thrilled for Debbie, for my team and for Noreen... I'm so excited for all the new goals and accomplishments I see in the months ahead! I "Let It Happen!" for a change! It worked!!
