What To Do With Excess STUFF!

Hello friends! Happy Friday! I meet so many folks with so much excess STUFF!! Their homes are packed and the STUFF goes unused! Sometimes they just want to pitch everything so I started thinking: A friend of mine works at Faith Mission and in their recent newsletter they published their "Wish List"; things that people who come to or are finally leaving shelter life and have their own apartment. They need so many things to get started. As you spring clean, purge, organize your STUFF won't you share your excess with the folks who need our help? Below is their list of items and how to donate! FAITH MISSION - General Needs Toothbrushes Toothpaste Socks, underwear (all sizes) *new only Soap Blankets (new or gently used) Deodorant Bath & Hand Towels   FAITH MISSION - Kitchen Items Milk Plastic utensils Sugar Spaghetti Sauce and Pasta Canned meats Breakfast meats Chicken and beef stock Dish Cloths   FAITH MISSION - Housing Items Hand-held can openers Small alarm clocks Paper towels   FAITH MISSION - All Shelters 1 of each: can opener, large pot   FAITH HOUSING - Kitchen Start-up Kits Dish washing liquid Garbage bags   FAITH HOUSING - Bathroom Start-up Kits Shower curtain and rings Toilet paper 4 bath towels 2 wash cloths Please Note: Items designated in bold type are greatly needed. Deliver items to Faith Mission, 315 E. Long Street during regular hours, Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or Friday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Weekend deliveries can be made 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the Men's Shelter located at 151 N. 6th Street (across the street from Faith Mission).
